Springtime calls for adventures, both in the Dolomites and on the “Lago”, as the Italians affectionately call their Lake Garda in northern Italy. Returning to the hotel after a refreshing hike in the clear mountain or lake air and immersing yourself in the atmospheric & spacious spa & wellness areas is pure luxury for body & soul. The spring breeze carries the energy of nature – here, in the midst of awakening nature, you will find renewal and the feeling of being alive.
Since all good things come in threes, the five-star Quellenhof experience is now offered at three different luxury resorts, set in the enrapturing settings of Lazise and the Passeiertal Valley in South Tyrol, Dolomites.
The original resort, which has long been one of the most exclusive resorts in the Italian Alps – is Quellenhof Luxury Resort Passeier, located near the historic spa town of Meran, in South Tyrol. In spring 2019, the Dorfer family inaugurated their second resort, Quellenhof Luxury Resort Lazise, set in the stunning scenery of Lake Garda. This year, a brand-new gem was added to the collection: Quellenhof See Lodge, a small but exquisite adults-only hideaway in the Passeiertal Valley.

The Quellenhof Luxury Resort Passeier, situated in the Passeiertal Valley, a few minutes from the spa town of Merano, is the most exclusive 5-star spa and sports resort in South Tyrol. Here, in the embrace of a gorgeous mountain landscape, sports enthusiasts and guests in need of relaxation can live a holiday experience that leaves no desire unfulfilled. The spectacular spa – divided into an adults-only and a family-friendly zone – caters to every guest’s expectations. Quellenhof Luxury Resort Passeier can boast a sumptuous spa extending across an area of 10,500 square metres, with 25 saunas including the award-winning Lake Event sauna with its Aufguss rituals. The water landscape is no less impressive, featuring 12 heated indoor and outdoor pools for swimming, indulging, and enjoying. The resort’s Acqua Family Parc – the largest water park in South Tyrol – is designed to offer families the best experience for all age groups. The culinary offer is just as varied. Accommodation options range from comfortable double rooms and luxurious suites to exclusive chalets.
Opened in April 2022, the new Quellenhof See Lodge is a wellness retreat and is reserved for guests over 14 years. This new resort, tucked away in the Passeiertal valley, has been developed around a 4,500-square-metre bathing lake. The stunning Alpine scenery blends into a surprisingly harmonious whole with the Maldivian hints added by the vegetation and modern architecture. The buildings are characterised by fine natural materials, such as stone, glass and dark wood. This small but perfectly formed 5-star resort features only 26 accommodation units, ranging from stylish suites to prestigious lake-side suites with direct access to the lake and four princely villas surrounded by the lake’s clear blue waters.

In addition to spa facilities with no equals in South Tyrol and Lazise, all three resorts offer a culinary experience of outstanding quality and variety. For example, guests at Quellenhof Passeier can choose between the classic gourmet half-board arrangement and two in-house restaurants of the finest quality: Gourmetstube 1897 (awarded 3 toques by Gault&Millau) and Sky Restaurant Teppanyaki (Japanese kitchen). At Guests at See Lodge, the panoramic restaurant completes the dining experience with a dreamy view of the lake. Moreover, guests at Quellenhof See Lodge are treated to a delectable choice of fine fish dishes in an exclusive speciality restaurant, the “underwater restaurant” with underwater effects projected onto large screens.
