NEOMA signs McGill exchange deal as it deepens push into Canada

A new agreement will allow six NEOMA students a year to study in Montreal from September, as the French business school expands its academic footprint in Quebec

NEOMA Business School has signed a new partnership with McGill University, giving six students a year the chance to study in Montreal as it strengthens its presence in Canada.

The agreement will open a semester-long immersion programme for students on NEOMA’s Programme Grande École from September 2026, with teaching in English across subjects including finance, strategy and marketing, alongside courses in social sciences, literature and the humanities.

NEOMA said tuition fees at McGill would be covered under the exchange arrangement.

The deal adds McGill to a Canadian network that already includes HEC Montréal, Concordia University and Université Laval, as NEOMA seeks to build a stronger profile in Quebec.

The school said the programme would also focus on broader skills such as intercultural communication, critical thinking, adaptability and collaboration.

Delphine Manceau, dean of NEOMA Business School, said: “This partnership with McGill is part of our commitment to sustainably strengthen our presence in Canada. Montreal offers our students an environment of academic excellence, bilingual, in a dynamic and multicultural metropolis.”

McGill, based in Montreal, is presented by NEOMA as a strong fit because of its strengths in areas including artificial intelligence and digital creative industries.

The move forms part of NEOMA’s wider international strategy. The school said it now works with 400 university partners across 61 countries.

Alexandre Pourchet, deputy dean of NEOMA, said: “Montreal today represents a premier academic and economic hub. By consolidating our presence in this metropolis with McGill, which joins HEC Montréal and Concordia University, while maintaining our ties in Quebec City with Université Laval, we are strengthening the quality, consistency, and visibility of our international offering in Canada, particularly in Quebec where we now have four strategic partners.”
