Greece’s TITAN Group climbs TIME’s global sustainability rankings

Building materials giant moves up 158 places in global list, securing a top 150 position for 2025

Building materials manufacturer TITAN Group has been recognised as one of the world’s most sustainable companies for the second consecutive year.

The company rose 158 places to reach 150th position in TIME’s World’s Most Sustainable Companies 2025 global ranking, which features 500 businesses across 35 countries and 21 industries.

Headquartered in Greece and active in more than 25 countries, TITAN employs over 6,000 people and maintains strong market positions in Europe and the US, alongside joint ventures in Brazil and India. The company’s shares are listed on Euronext Brussels and the Athens Exchange.

TITAN was the highest-ranked company among the limited number of building materials firms included in the list, compiled by TIME in collaboration with data provider Statista.

The ranking assesses companies using a range of environmental and social performance indicators, external sustainability ratings, and publicly disclosed data. It follows international reporting frameworks including GRI, SASB, TCFD, and the EU’s CSRD.

TITAN has committed to science-based emissions reduction targets aligned with the 1.5°C climate scenario. It has also been recognised as a climate leader by CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) and the Financial Times.

The group is a signatory to the UN Global Compact and a participant in the UNFCCC’s Race to Zero campaign. It continues to progress towards its 2025 ESG targets, particularly in reducing CO₂ emissions and delivering broader sustainability objectives. Its long-term goal is to reach net zero emissions by 2050.

Leonidas Canellopoulos, Chief Innovation and Sustainability Officer at TITAN Group, described the recognition as “a powerful endorsement” of the company’s strategy.

“Being named one of the world’s most sustainable companies by TIME for the second year in a row is a powerful endorsement of our growth strategy in action,” he added.

“Sustainability is woven into every decision we make – from bold innovation in new products and decarbonised processes to transparent execution. Guided by our purpose to make the world around us a safe, sustainable, and enjoyable place to live, we are accelerating our progress and actively contributing to a more innovative and sustainable industry.”
