Ex-Lenovo executive Sabine Hammer to lead Infinigate’s DACH business

Former ALSO Germany board member will take charge of the cybersecurity distributor’s operations across Germany, Austria and Switzerland from October

Infinigate has appointed former Lenovo and ALSO Germany executive Sabine Hammer to lead its business across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Hammer will become regional vice president for DACH on October 1, taking responsibility for the technology distributor’s cybersecurity, cloud and network infrastructure operations across one of its key European markets.

She succeeds André Stark, who is leaving after two years in charge of the region to pursue a new business opportunity.

The appointment comes as Infinigate looks to expand its position in cybersecurity and cloud services across the DACH region.

Infinigate operates across EMEA and ANZ, working with vendors and partners serving both SMB and enterprise customers in cybersecurity, cloud and network infrastructure.

Hammer said: “Infinigate is a leading value-added distributor in the DACH market, with a strong reputation as a trusted adviser in cybersecurity, cloud and network infrastructure.

“I am proud to lead such a high-performing organisation through its next phase of transformation, working with our vendors to deliver greater value for partners and customers.

“With rising demand for cybersecurity, accelerated by AI, and a clear Group strategy, this is an exciting time to join Infinigate.

“I look forward to contributing to the continued success of the Infinigate Group and its leadership team.”

Hammer brings more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry and has held senior positions with HP, ALSO Germany and Lenovo.

At ALSO Germany, she sat on the German management board and was responsible for B2B sales across its distribution business.

She later moved into senior DACH and EMEA channel roles at Lenovo, most recently leading value business development.

Her responsibilities there included go-to-market strategy, expanding the partner ecosystem and developing strategic alliances.

Marco van Kalleveen, the chief executive of Infinigate Group, said: “We are grateful to André for guiding the DACH team through an important period of development, and delighted to welcome Sabine as she leads the region into its next phase of growth.

“DACH is a key market for Infinigate, and we look forward to accelerating growth for vendors and partners as a leading cybersecurity VAD platform.”
