Former Kyndryl Germany boss joins Infinigate in growth role

Kai Grunwitz takes senior post at Swiss cybersecurity distributor as AI reshapes risk for vendors and channel partners

Former Kyndryl Germany president Kai Grunwitz has joined Swiss cybersecurity distributor Infinigate Group as chief growth officer.

The appointment gives Grunwitz responsibility for the company’s vendor portfolio, services, partner strategy, marketing and brand development across EMEA and ANZ.

Infinigate, based in Rotkreuz, Switzerland, distributes cybersecurity, cloud and network infrastructure products and services through the IT channel.

The company said the new role is intended to support its growth with vendors and channel partners as demand for cybersecurity services changes with the spread of AI.

Grunwitz has spent more than 30 years in the technology industry, including senior posts at Sun Microsystems, Oracle, NTT and Kyndryl.

He was previously chief executive of NTT Germany, senior vice president of NTT Security EMEA and head of transformational portfolio, innovation and alliances at NTT DATA EMEAL.

He most recently served as president of Kyndryl Germany.

Grunwitz said: “I am delighted to join Infinigate at such a pivotal time for the cybersecurity industry. As AI transforms the technology landscape and reshapes cyber risk, the role of specialized value-added distribution has never been more critical.

“With its market-leading portfolio, extensive vendor ecosystem, and strong thought leadership, Infinigate is uniquely positioned to help vendors and channel partners capture the opportunities ahead.

“I am honoured to join the company and excited to work with our teams, vendors, and partners to accelerate growth and further strengthen Infinigate’s leadership in the cybersecurity channel.”

Infinigate works with SMB and enterprise customers across EMEA and ANZ through locally tailored technical services, a central supply chain and a portfolio of cybersecurity, cloud and network infrastructure products.

Marco van Kalleveen, chief executive of Infinigate Group, said: “Kai’s appointment is a significant milestone for Infinigate as we continue to execute our ambitious growth strategy.

“The Chief Growth Officer role is central to advancing our strategic priorities, and Kai brings the leadership experience, market insight and industry credibility to help us further strengthen our position as the leading cybersecurity VAD platform. We are delighted to welcome him to the business.”
