Work and play in Dubrovnik

Croatia

The uniqueness of Dubrovnik lies in its history and cultural heritage, while its modern lifestyle mirrors its strong spiritual identity, historical imprint and presence within European culture. Rich history is alive in every part of the city – from its museums to its live stage used for concerts, it perfectly intertwines the past with the present. Commonly referred to as the pearl of the Adriatic, Dubrovnik hides a treasure. Protected by a UNESCO World Heritage status since 1979, Dubrovnik is surrounded by 1,940 metres of unique medieval ramparts. They are preserved in their original form and are open to visitors as the city’s must-see attraction. The city is a destination of culture, as witnessed by its many festivals, prestigious art, major open air events, excellent artists and athletes, and its architectural treasures. Hotels with conference facilities were built in easily accessible locations. Today, there are 46 hotels in Dubrovnik, among them 14 have five-star ratings and 15 hotels have four-star ratings.

As a congress and incentive venue, Dubrovnik offers numerous options to those choosing it as a destination wishing to combine business with leisure. Combined, the city’s conference facilities offer more than 8,000 seats within Dubrovnik hotels and other conference venues. Its rich history, geographic location, mild climate and thriving tourism industry make Dubrovnik’s undisputed convention centre with more conventions, congresses, and corporate incentive programmes than anywhere else in the country. Dubrovnik offers numerous possibilities for those choosing it as a business destination, with five star hotels, or four or three star hotels, that can be excellent hosts for your larger or smaller meetings. Thanks to their unique ambience, premises like Fort Revelin, the Marin Drzic Theatre, Sponza Palace, Rector’s Palace, the International Centre of Croatian Universities, the former monastery of St. Clare, and others, have served as special meeting and event venues for many business occasions.

The Convention Bureau within the Dubrovnik Tourist Board was established in order to assist organisers of business meetings, congresses, and incentives by facilitating the realisation of their projects. The bureau offers assistance and advice in the organisation of gatherings and special events. It helps in the choice and booking of venues and locations, in the preparation of offers, in the organisation of inspection trips and it also provides free promotional materials on Dubrovnik.
