The European Magazine continues to acknowledge businesses that enable and boost the economy and recognizes a selection of companies, such as such as Banco Nacional Ultramarino, for their progress, competitiveness and outstanding performance in their respective fields.

Banco Nacional Ultramarino (BNU) received the “Most Innovative Bank Of The Year 2018 – South East Asia 2018” and the “Best Banking CEO – Macau 2018 – Pedro Cardoso” awards from The European Magazine.

As the first note-issuing bank in Macau, with 115 years of history on supporting and serving the Macau community, BNU is still reinventing itself to provide the highest level of service quality and customer satisfaction in an exceptionally competitive environment. As a result, BNU had more than doubled its business from 2011 to 2016, under the leadership of Pedro Cardoso, CEO of BNU. The Bank is always at the forefront of offering cutting-edge products and services to its customers. New initiatives launched in 2017 range from new premium credit card and financing products, to anniversary logo design competition and digital games to enhance the Bank’s image and connect to the community. BNU has also expanded its social media presence via channels including facebook and WeChat.

Pedro Cardoso mentioned, “Winning these two awards, I believe, is a sign of affirmation on BNU’s continuous commitment to the local community, our customers and other stakeholders. We face the future with great optimism and enthusiasm and these awards reinforce our belief that we are on the right track”.
