If you use an airplane for business, or are considering it, make sure you’re a part of the 2017 European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE2017). It’s the only European show dedicated solely to business aviation, and it brings together the latest aircraft and aviation equipment, top experts in the industry, and renowned figures in business and aviation. Sponsored by the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) and the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), EBACE2017 takes places in Geneva, Switzerland from 22 to 24 May. Bertrand Piccard, chairman of the Solar Impulse project, adventurer, pioneer and the first to fly a solar-powered aircraft around the world, will motivate attendees at the 22 May Opening General Session of EBACE2017. Piccard, along with Solar Impulse’s co-founder Andre Borschberg, and their team, developed the first zero-fuel airplane capable of flying day or night. Solar Impulse 1 completed its first test flight in 2009, and conducted several long-distance flights before the Solar Impulse 2 completed a round-the-world solar flight in 2016. Maltese Minister for Tourism Edward Zammit Lewis, whose country currently holds the presidency of the European Council, will share his perspectives on aviation in the European Union (EU) during the Opening General Session of EBACE2017 on 22 May. “There are a number of issues the Maltese presidency will need to tackle, not the least of which is BREXIT, which will obviously impact air transport in Europe,” said EBAA CEO Fabio Gamba. “BREXIT negotiations are expected to officially kick off in March, so this will fall under the Maltese presidency.” Read more about Lewis and EBACE2017.
MCI Suisse SA is the exclusive housing company for EBACE2017, and with a base of operations in Geneva, MCI has representatives to assist with attendees’ travel needs.
